9-11 Jun

Welcome to Colonial Charles Towne Fest 2017! From the 9th-11th of June, experience Charleston, S.C. as it would have appeared in the 18th-century. This is a full fledged colonial history fest in the Lowcountry! Locations range between downtown and the historic and rural sea island of John's Island.

There will be much to do over the weekend!  Our main event will be a series of military living history engagements on Johns Island, at Legare Farms. The first battle will be a recreation of a 1745 Spanish attack on the sea islands. The second battle will be a reenactment of the 1780 siege of Charleston! Sunday, there will be a recreated pirate trial based on the 1718 trial of Stede Bonnet at the Old Exchange Building museum in downtown Charleston. This isn't a  'pirate fest,' but we want to show all parts of colonial military history in our city! In essence, we are making Charleston colonial again throughout the weekend! Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer.
